Training.

After the kunoichi's figure had gone through the village gates, there was an abrupt turn towards the East, and her lithe figure was little more than a blur of white hue that flashed. Unless one were trained with a shinobi eye for such things, it was doubtful that she'd even be seen. A few miles were put between herself and the village, before the kunoichi ceased movement, letting the small-ish clearing roll out in front of her as a few steps inward were taken.

Choosing to stand in the center, Rin drew the sword from it's sheathe upon her back, and let the hand lay idly within her palm as the sword pointed at the ground, and a bit away from her form. It took only a moment, before muscles coiled at the kunoichi twirled in a move that brought the Katana up, and over her head before striking downwards, and back up in a slashing motion. It seemed as though it were more of a dance than an attack, but she'd always enjoyed the part of the katana that had made it seem graceful and articulate.

Her form moved, and wound the sword down around her own body, before flipping it back up and letting it land a distance away. Her hands fell together in a series of seals, and a clone poofed into existence, replicated as herself, holding the sword. Granted the clone would only be good for one hit, it would assist her in blocking.

Reclaiming the weapon, the Kunoichi nodded to the clone to begin, and quickly parried against the assault.

Several raven's flew overhead, their black forms shifting into a state of further darkness as they became shadows, their forms moving together as they merged into a single entity. Immediately afterward the shadowy blob fell to the ground, it's form morphing into a shadow clone. There were unique benefits to using the summoned ravens as shadow clones, they were far stronger than a normal shadow clone, they used less of his chakra, they could endure more, but best of all, with the three of them merged together they were equivalent to 1/4 of Senko's full strength.

"Why hello there, Rin." The image of Senko stuck up an offensive stance.... there was one final benefit of the clone, Senko could fight an opponent without actually fighting the opponent and learn from it. This would be the use of this clone. Senko's great interest in Rin was about to be peaked, he would fully analyze her strength to better understand her.

So with little warning the clones left arm swept down moving across one of his thigh pouches, and while it didn't appear that his hand pulled anything from the pouch, the release of an orange tipped kunai would counter this idea. The kunai would hurl forward moving at Rin's clone's feet.

At the mention of a name, the kunoichi's movements paused, and Rin rose a brow at the Senko that had formed out of shadow nearby. "Senko? I thought you were with Aoiro...Or something." There was momentary confusion, but then the kunoichi merely allowed a chuckle. "Ah, I see..." Was all that she said, and in a burst of speed, the kunai would be deflected by the tip of the katana that rested in her hand, now outstretched in her right arm.

"That was rude, Senko." She huffed softly at him, violet hues pinning the clone down. Her own clone vanished, however. Most medic-nin's went with brute strength to go with their taijutsu skills, but not Rin, no, she had decided to go with speed, for the sheer fact that if they couldn't hit her, there was no need for her to get close to them. But it also helped to be able to block oncoming attacks, or evading them completely.

Senko would watch as the orange tipped kunai slammed into the tip of Rin's katana, immediately the tip caving in rupturing the pressure chamber of the kunai and releasing the fuel gel within it. The kunai suddenly exploding sending shrapnel and smoke everywhere. Utilizing the blinding light with the loud disorienting boom of the kunai exploding, the image of Senko would dart forward it's hands sliding together as he performed several seals. The clones shadow suddenly extending out.

The clones form came to a sliding halt six feet in front of the kunoichi, it's right fist jutting out in a straight punch. Of course from six feet away the punch wouldn't hit, but it would be worth noting that the clones shadow's fist extended out past the six foot mark traveling straight for the kunoichi's shadow's arm.

As the smoke engulfed, and the shrapnel invaded, Rin uttered a loud curse, and her figure spun from the smoke, moving backwards as she lept from the smoke, not wanting to be caught in it for long. That's how Shinobi got defeated, and despite the sword in her hand, and the few pieces of metal that had found her skin, the kunoichi immediately began the hand seals for KiriGakure No Jutsu, and the small clearing would fill with fog. Unless Aoiro had taught Senko how to see through the fog, it was likely she'd have a slight advantage over him in the current conditions. But not knowing the full range of Senko's abilities, well, it was hard to say whether or not he'd be effected.

Violet hues narrowed as chakra engulfed her arm, healing the areas where the shrapnel had embedded, but not before pushing them from her skin. However, the fist that moved in her direction was entirely too much worth noting, an extension of the body itself? Interesting. As the hand moved towards her, Rin brought up the sword, swinging towards the hand, moreso in mild curiousity. If she cut it, did it still bleed?

Senko's shadow fist was not a physical fist, but was his shadow legitimately extending out. That being said the fist itself would travel the course of the ground and not float out in the air, and when Rin brought her blade down to try to cut through it, the shadow would bend under the tip and continue moving forward towards her shadow. Once the fist made contact with the shadow there would be a transfer of force. Rin would feel as if she got punched in the arm, a bruise even forming where the fist made contact on the shadow. It was a unique jutsu that worked by forming a connection between the two entities via their shadows and transferring chakra through this connection, which would then convert into physical force.

If the first fist made contact there would be a second fist that would follow the path of the other to try to meet Rin's shadow's gut. Of course if Rin moved Senko would have no idea where the hell she went.

As the bruise blossomed on her arm, Rin instinctively jerked back, removing herself from the vacinity, but not before there was a brushing of the other shadow fist against her midsection. Hues narrowed in interest and suspicion. An extension of shadow that did damage? Well, physical damage? She had read of a similar technique in Konoha long ago, but...Interesting, to say the least. Though she wondered, could the same application be made with simple chakra? To use the sword as a medium? The more she thought about it, the more it seemed possible, but she would not attempt it just yet. Instead, she bounced around Senko, having known his position, and being able to see him, while he was apparently unable to see her, though that could be a rouse. Her speed kept her from touching the ground for more than a milisecond as she contemplated a plan of attack.

She could go in directly, but that seemed silly. Instead, she pushed her chakra through the sword, having done so many times before, but this time she used the sword as a medium, rather than as the final product. She extended the chakra, testing it, flucuating the power behind the chakra until satisfied. Simply, all she had done, was use a chakra scalpel upon the blade, but forced it to extend further than it had before, and retained it at a stable position. Thus, it would give her a bit more distance from her opponent as she brought the sword down in a vertical swing towards the clone's body.

The Senko clone would remain firmly in one spot. There was no reason to dart around and try to chase down an opponent he couldn't see. It's mind raced for a second as he began to produce a plausible counter attack within his mind. His hands quickly came together as he formed several seals, his figure becoming some what hazy and translucent. The great thing about shadows is that they represented an area with less or no light. While Senko could not see, the mist would work in his advantage by essentially placing him in an infinite shadow. This also gave senko a chance to work on a jutsu that he'd been contemplating for a long time now.

As Rin's form came down with the blade, she would find it land on the clone's head and pass straight through, as if there was nothing there. The shadow of the clone thrusting out with another punch, this one directed to deliver the blow to Rin's shadow's elbow. While Rin didn't know her mist was allowing Senko to use his shadow boxing and shadow melding jutsu at the same time. The corporeal image of the clone which Rin would assume to be the real one, was actually a reflection of the shadow, and the shadow was the actual Senko.

The ease of the passing blade did manage to catch the woman off guard, and it was far too late, even with her speed, to alter her directed motion. However, the difficult part was this...she could not see the clone, and the shadows obviously where were it hid. Thus...Her hands gripped the sword, and her body faded into mist with the impact of the shadow to her own body. A log replaced her, floating for a second, before disappearing.

Rin, meanwhile, had retreated back to a degree, and was running calculations and thoughts through her head. If she could use the sword as a medium to use the chakra scalpel, then perhaps she could also use it as a medium to draw in chakra. It was worth a try. The first swing of the sword brought sparks from the blade, as the chakra searched, hungrily, flinging from the blade in an almost suicidal manner as it sought the chakra, any chakra that it might devour and return to it's master. If it could have drawn chakra from the air, it might very well have. If Senko were hiding in the shadows, perhaps all she had to do was find his shadow to sap the chakra from the clone, since he seemed able to push chakra through them.

Rin swung the weapon, what looked like what might have been a stupid, and futile attempt, she realized it was exactly that. She could not tell where the shadows were in the darkness of the mist, despite her ability to see through it. Quickly, she dispelled the obscurring stuff, sword still sparking with chakra as it sought another continuous force.

As quickly as the mist faded the clones form emerged from the shadow. A pout forming on it's face as it looked down at the log. "What a shame." Senko's gaze shifted up as his pupil fell upon Rin who was roughly seven yards away. His chakra levels were quickly depleting.... it seemed he'd have to stop with the shadow boxing for now. A sigh escaped and his hands came together forming two quick seals at almost blinding speed, as he did so a dark black ink like substance began to drip from his hands, his form bending down as he picked up the log that had been used as a substitution, his fingers running over it leaving a trail of shadowy ink.

"No." Was all Rin said as violet hues watched the inky liquid pour from Senko's clone, and she frowned ever so slightly, before she brought down a second slash of the sword. The mechanics were simple, she knew that if her sword touched someone in this mode, it would take and convert the chakra, much as she had done with Senko earlier, but the technique didn't end there. She felt the pressure build, and the chakra around the sword straightened from it's previous sparking attitude, and became a thin line of chakra that grew from the point of the sword.

With another swing, Rin moved towards the clone, and behind the swing there was a shimmering field of chakra, that lasted for a few seconds, before disappating. But should the clone touch that chakra, it would act very much like a parasite, and begin drawing out his chakra and forcing it to become her own as well. With the lengthened weapon, the kunoichi struck forward, before drawing back for a final, and third strike. She felt the chakra swell, surprised by the amount that surged within the sword, but she calmed and harnessed it to fit her needs.

If she could bounce it from her sword like a boomerang...or a cleave...she could use it to attack at mid-range. The only downside was that, this obviously was going to take a lot of chakra. While the melted swayed beneath the green chakra, Rin focused on bringing down a final, forward slash.

The chakra that escaped from the sword was great, for it had been most everything left in her body, and it tore up the ground in front of the kunoichi, cleaving a path that was easily 8 yards wide, and 15 yards into the distance. Beyond that, it obviously still caused damage, but nothing as severe as that within the 15 yards. Trees were torn from their roots, and tossed aside, the ground had literally turned so that only a few patches of grass could be seen beneath rock, dirt, and other bits of rubble. The destructive nature of the chakra had been evident, as anything else that had been caught in it's path, if not completely destroyed, bore the cuts of what looked as though it were a thousand little razors, sharp, and deep cutting.

However, despite the power behind the jutsu, the Kunoichi fell forward to her knees, panting heavily as she used the sword now for support, letting it sink into the dirt in front of her as she let her forehead rest against it. If the clone yet still lived, and desired her death, then it would come, for she had no more strength to fight.

The clone had jumped back tossing the log in front of it as Rin began her series of slices, the chakra blade just barely grazing his form and stealing away his ever depleting reserves. As the third swing came down a frown would travel across his visage, the massive amount of chakra about to erupt from the blade ever apparent. As the blade crashed into the ground and a massive blast of chakra came hurling towards him, it'd strike the log first, the log which Senko had marked with the explosion kanji using his shadowy ink. Of course the explosion that the log generated was easily dwarfed and consumed, and in his own personal fear Senko spammed hand seals, screwing them up completely. His form vanished in the light completely consumed by it.

After a few moments, and the dust had cleared, a shadow would form and open up next to Rin. The clone's form slowly emerging from it, it's right arm missing. Waves of shadows radiating out from it..... the clone holding a stunned expression on his visage. "Good..... game." The clone suddenly exploded in a poof of smoke and feathers, vanishing.

She didn't even care. The kunoichi was concerned with breathing, at the moment, and she drew in several large, and gasping breaths as the clone spoke, but surprised etched her features when the words had sunk in. So, Rin had won. But then, it had simply been a clone, if up against the real thing, it was highly unlikely that Rin would win.

With the greatest effort, the female pulled herself to a stand with the aid of her weapon, before sheathing it within the proper holding place upon her back as she began back towards Kirigakure. No point in spending time outside of the village now, not when she had accomplished yet another techinique - Subeta Kaga. And she was pleased with herself for this, for the devestation caused by the technique was obvious, and perhaps later, she could learn to control the blast of the chakra, perhaps sacrifice range for versaility, or a full 360 degree expulsion.

Tired and protesting limbs carried Rin's lithe form back to the village, and once inside the warm confines of the clinic, she collapsed on the nearest bed, instantly asleep.
